Habitat for habitat, animal have out-performed humans unaided by science & technology. Be it in the air or in the water; in deserts or icy wastelands, mountain peaks, caves or the abyssal depths-animals better mankind when it comes to colonising the Earth. Interestingly, they have done it without tools. Armed with only what Mother Nature has blessed it with; bacteria withstand radiation that kills humans outright and thrive in environments so hostile as to defy imagination. Animals are amazing by virtue of what they are! And they are so because of their superb adaptations to the environments they inhabit.
