Overview

The Geronimo Stilton books are series of children’s adventure stories created by the renowned Italian author Elisabetta Dami. The series was originally published in Italy. It became so popular among kids, that soon enough, English translations were published. The central character in the series is a mouse named Geronimo Stilton. Geronimo is a journalist and editor working at the fictional publication, The Rodent Gazette. Geronimo is a quiet and nervous mouse, very mild-mannered and not at all adventurous. He prefers to lead a quiet life. But, that is not possible when his sister Thea, cousin Trap, and little nephew Benjamin are around. It has been discovered that there is a plot to steal the diamond-encrusted gold cup, which is the trophy of the tournament. Now, Geronimo Stilton and Kornelius Von Kickpaw have to team up and stop the thieves before it is too late. Meanwhile, the tournament itself seems to be jinxed, with golf balls going crazy and people acting abnormally. The books in the Geronimo Stilton series are written in an autobiographical style, told from the point of view of Geronimo Stilton. They are fast-paced and have vivid, colorful illustrations.
